Maintenance Manager

Position:​ Maintenance Manager

Type of contract: Permanent, Full-Time 

Location: Killarney, Ireland

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and to be an integral part of the team & company which is experiencing huge growth within the business. As your role of Maintenance Manager you will manage your own team and develop the team and direction toward the business goals. The Maintenance Manager is a role within the Tricel Group which will be based in Tricel Killarney. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible to direct and control the maintenance operations for Tricel Killarney plant and for driving continuous improvement and standardisation across Group Sites.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of the day to day management.
  • Manage and oversee maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, company commercial fleet and facilities, ensuring they are properly maintained, repaired, and optimized to minimize downtime.
  • Schedule planned and unplanned maintenance of services, plant and equipment.
  • Prioritizing work across the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Monitor equipment/parts inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Developing maintenance budgets and controlling expenses.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Manage maintenance system daily and report on daily/weekly KPI’s.
  • Provide support and assistance to the maintenance team with respect to both electrical and mechanical.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address maintenance needs and support production goals.
  • Assist in the introduction of new equipment and processes and contribute to the development of same.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field advantageous.
  • People management experience essential.
  • Experience in Robotics, Industrial Electrical Systems and PLC Programming advantageous.
  • Knowledge in pneumatics or hydraulics advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems advantageous.
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance management systems and computerized maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Good problem solving skills.
