Accounts Assistant

Position: Accounts Assistant

Type of contract: Permanent; Full-Time

Location: Gloucester, United Kingdom 

Responsibilities

The Accounts Assistant will be primarily responsible for the following;

  • Maintaining accurate records; allocating cash receipts against invoices, issue of customer statements and invoices.
  • Collection of amounts due from customers on a timely basis.
  • Processing of credit notes.
  • Checking customer’s credit eligibility and inputting into the approval process.
  • Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions.
  • Implementing changes in the company’s credit control system.
  • Weekly payroll processing.
  • Support preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales reporting.
  • Daily bank reconciliations.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Commercially focused with a strong disciplined professional approach.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills is a requirement.
  • Excellent IT skills.
