REEdI Programme
Tricel have partnered with the Munster Technological University (MTU) REEdI Programme since its inauguration in 2022, helping shape the next generation of engineers through immersive, real-world experience. As a partner in this innovative initiative, Tricel offers students from the BEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering programme the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience through structured work placements.
The REEdI Programme—short for Rethinking Engineering Education in Ireland—is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs. It combines cutting-edge technologies like AR/VR with a strong emphasis on soft skills and adaptability. Tricel supports this mission by providing placements that allow students to rotate through different business areas over 18 months, exposing them to a dynamic, fast-paced multinational manufacturing environment.
Through this collaboration, Tricel not only helps students develop technical and strategic thinking skills but also benefits from the fresh perspectives and energy of emerging talent. It’s a win-win that strengthens both the company’s innovation pipeline and the broader engineering ecosystem in Ireland
