Tricel is current searching for a Financial Accountant to join the team; The initial contract, which will be based in Killarney (partial remote working available) will be for a 12 month period but may lead to further opportunities.

Job Description

Working as part of the group Finance Team, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Support the group finance function in the month end management accounts generation process.
  • Generate the necessary financial information that will highlight profit potential and/or inefficiencies.
  • Input into the development of the company systems to support business growth.
  • Support the Group business in relation to general development or specific issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures and related supporting schedules in connection with statutory financial statements for Company’s international and domestic subsidiaries (in accordance with the applicable accounting standards)
  • Sales/product margin analysis to facilitate understanding of product by product margins and variance reporting to management
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

Skills & Characteristics 

  • Possess a recognised accountancy qualification.
  • Exhibit the key competencies of teamwork, planning, organisational ability and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong analytical and IT skills
  • Knowledge of IFS advantageous
